Planning Desserts for Your Wedding
Planning desserts for your wedding can be a demanding task, but we are here to help! Here are some things to consider when planning cupcakes for your wedding:
Icing Flavors & Colors
If you are having multiple flavors, make sure you think about the types of icing you choose. Choosing different icing colors will make your wedding spread more appealing. A white icing, a chocolate icing, and a tan icing like salted caramel or peanut butter make for an attractive spread. These icing colors also provide a classy look that is perfect for any wedding spread.
Dessert Colors to Match Your Wedding Colors
It is also important to make sure your cupcake (or other dessert) colors match your wedding colors. Luckily, we are here to help! We are happy to help you with planning your dessert colors to match your wedding theme. Send us your invites, wedding colors, and any stationary so we can help you make the best color choices possible for your desserts!
Choosing the Right Amounts
You need to make sure you have the right amount of desserts for your wedding. Here is what we suggest:
- For cupcakes, order 1.3 cupcakes per guest
- We recommend 3-4 flavors of cupcakes for weddings
- A 10-inch 3-layer cake will serve about 40 people
- A 12-inch 3-layer cake will serve about 55 people
Wedding Cakes
Choosing your wedding cake baker is a big deal and we are happy to help! We do not make large wedding cakes or spend hours and hours on details, but we can promise a delicious homemade cake that is sure to make you and your guests happy!
Pricing for Wedding Orders
Cakes: Start at $70 per cake for a 3-layer 8-inch cake. Price will vary depending on tiers and decoration requests.
Cupcakes: Start at $36 per dozen. This is subject to change depending on decoration requests.
Delivery: $50 (within a 30-mile radius of the bakery)
Setup: $60 (within a 30-mile radius of the bakery)
Wedding Order Policies
We will give you a wedding contract 4-6 months before your wedding date with a 25% non-refundable deposit required. The remaining balance is due one week before the wedding date.
We also offer delivery and setup within a 30-mile radius of our bakery (15 W. Baltimore St. Greencastle, PA 17225). Delivery is an additional $50 and setup is an additional $60. Let us know if you would like us to deliver or setup your wedding desserts!
